Free PackShift tool • Import Modrinth modpacks into CurseForge
CurseForge does not natively open .mrpack files — it expects standard Minecraft ZIP archives or manual folder structures. PackShift bridges that gap: convert your Modrinth .mrpack to a playable ZIP, then import it into CurseForge.
CurseForge works with ZIP-based modpacks, not Modrinth's manifest format.
Convert .mrpack to ZIP with PackShift, then import the ZIP into CurseForge.
Mods are downloaded from Modrinth CDN and packaged into the ZIP.
Go to the PackShift converter and drag your .mrpack file into the dropzone, or click to browse.
Choose Client Pack for singleplayer, or Dedicated Server if importing to a server. Enable Download mod files into ZIP.
Click Convert to ZIP, then download the resulting .zip archive.
Open CurseForge, go to Create Custom Profile → Import, select your downloaded ZIP, and finish setup.
No. CurseForge expects standard Minecraft ZIP archives or folder structures. You must convert your .mrpack to ZIP first using PackShift, then import.
.mrpack is Modrinth's distribution format — a ZIP containing a modrinth.index.json manifest plus override files. CurseForge uses its own ZIP structure with mods in a mods/ folder and configs at the root. PackShift normalizes the .mrpack into that structure.
Yes. PackShift downloads all mod JAR files directly from Modrinth's CDN and places them in the ZIP's mods/ directory, so your CurseForge instance has every mod.
Yes. PackShift is 100% free, open-source, and runs entirely in your browser — nothing is uploaded to any server.
PackShift is an independent open-source tool and is not affiliated with or endorsed by CurseForge, Modrinth, or Mojang.
