This Privacy Policy explains how PackShift (“we,” “our,” or “the tool”) handles information when you use our free, in-browser Modrinth .mrpack to .zip converter at https://packshift.abhinavkarn.in/.
PackShift is a client-side utility that converts Modrinth .mrpack modpack files into standard Minecraft .zip archives. All processing happens entirely inside your web browser using JavaScript and Web APIs. No files are uploaded to PackShift servers.
2.1 Files you process. When you select a .mrpack file, the file is read entirely in your browser’s memory. We do not receive, store, or transmit your file contents, mod list, or configuration data to any PackShift server.
2.2 Mod downloads. If you enable “Download mod files into ZIP,” your browser fetches mod .jar files directly from Modrinth’s public Content Delivery Network (cdn.modrinth.com). These requests travel directly between your device and Modrinth’s servers. PackShift does not proxy or log these downloads.
2.3 Anonymous operational events. If analytics is enabled by the site operator, basic anonymous events (such as conversion success or errors) may be sent to Google Tag Manager. These events contain no filenames, file contents, mod names, or personally identifying information.
2.4 Information you voluntarily provide. The only information you may voluntarily provide is your email or contact details if you reach out via abhinavkarn.in. This is used solely to respond to your inquiry.

Because PackShift does not collect or store personal information, there is no account data to access, correct, or delete. If you contacted us via abhinavkarn.in and wish to have your message deleted, please email us and we will remove it from our records.

PackShift is a general-audience tool. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
No personal information is transferred internationally by PackShift because no personal information is collected or stored by us. Mod downloads go directly to Modrinth’s CDN, which may route through servers outside your country.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Your continued use of the tool after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
